MITU MONTEIRO - The Man behind the legend
I worked as Executive Producer and Director of a three-episode YouTube series featuring Mitu Monteiro, professional kite-surf athlete and recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award. The series highlights his journey, career milestones, and deep connection with Cape Verde, aiming to inspire the next generation of athletes through powerful visual storytelling.
Semana do Mar - Maio island (Cape Verde)
I led the full design and execution of a social project funded by the Delegation of the European Union in Cape Verde, aimed at empowering youth on the island of Maio through water sports.
I managed the budget, logistics, and organization of all activities, as well as the legal side, including contracts and local agreements. The project promoted social inclusion by offering new opportunities inspired by the success of local athletes who turned water sports into a professional career.
Gran Canaria Kite & Wingfoil Big Air
Social media and press coverage for the Kite and Wingfoil Big Air International competition part of the GKA Kite and GWA Wingfoil World Tour.
Ocean Race Summit - Athlete Representation
I managed the intermediation of professional kite-surf athlete Mitu Monteiro, invited as guest speaker and headline VIP during the Ocean Race Summit held in Cape Verde, part of one of the most important and internationally renowned sailing events. My responsibilities included coordinating his participation, overseeing contractual and logistical aspects, and supporting his presence as a symbol of Cape Verde’s connection to the ocean and water sports culture.
Sardinia Sailing Cup - Media Coverage
I provided the news report on the wing-foil and kitefoil races held in Sardinia, part of the World Championship circuit, for Studio Aperto, one of Italy’s leading TV news networks. The coverage highlighted the event’s importance in the competitive sailing calendar.
Fuerteventura Kitefoil International Open Cup - Media Relations
I was responsible for the pre- and post-race press releases for the Fuerteventura Kitefoil International Open Cup, creating content and articles for national TV networks and media outlets to maximize the event’s visibility.
Jeri Wingfoil Cup - Copywriter and International Media Relations Coordinator
I authored a featured article for Foiling Magazine covering the Jeri Wingfoil Cup 2023 and managed the strategic distribution of press releases and editorial content to leading international sailing publications, enhancing the event’s global media exposure.
